  • Football Training

    Thu 19 Sep 2019 Mr R Neilson

Football training will begin next Tuesday (24/9/19). Mr Thaw and I will be running the sessions. This after school activity is for any year 5 or year 6 children who want to take part in some fun, football based activities.

Letters will be sent home with the children tonight and need to be returned to either Mr Neilson (Y5 classroom) or the green

postbox at the front of school.

Please ensure your child has football boots (not trainers) and shin pads as they cannot take part without these pieces of equipment due to health and safety procedures.

Please find the initial letter in the year 5 and year 6 class pages.

    Thanks

    Mr Neilson

    Well done Team Norton!

  • Sports Day

    Thu 04 Jul 2019 HB

Many thanks to all the parents and carers who came along to support Sports Day. We had an amazing day and the weather was perfect! The family picnic was a great success again and everyone looked to be having fun.

Special thanks to the team of helpers supporting Mrs Bell throughout the day - the Y12 students from Meadowhead (including 2 former pupils), 2 students from Sheffield Hallam University, 1 apprentice from Points Partnership, Mr Bell from Sheffield College  PE department and our fabulous Teaching Assistants - Mrs Cave, Mrs Hall, Mrs Bolland, Mrs Rasdale and Mrs Waite. Thank you Mr Neilson (Y5) and the parents who helped to put up the gazebos!

Thank you Mrs Rose for taking photographs (we will put some on the website) and special thanks to Mr Barron for attending Sports Day as our special guest. Mr Barron was headteacher here from 1992- 2009. See you next year!

  • Netball Tournament

Tue 25 Jun 2019 Mrs Sewell

  • SPORTS DAY POSTPONED

    Tue 25 Jun 2019 HB
We have reluctantly agreed that tomorrow's Sports Day is postponed due to the weather today and the condition of the field (it is very soggy, we have been unable to have the track completely painted and we don't think it will dry out in time for the children to sit out on the field tomorrow). We have rearranged Sports Day for Tuesday 2nd July - same times apply. We apologise for the inconvenience and the decision was a tough one! We have not had to cancel for seven years! Apologies once again and we hope to see you on the 2nd July.
