Gardening Club

Even though we have have been able to return to school and remain open through the second lockdown, sadly we are still unable to get Gardening Club up and running. Hopefully you have all managed to stay active in your gardens at home. Now the weather is getting colder and the dark nights are drawing in, you can still enjoy your garden in many different ways.

Here are just a few ideas to help keep your fingers green during the winter months:

build a bug hotel, grow fresh ginger indoors, make some birdseed Christmas ornaments, familiarise yourself with plants that "magically" re-grow themselves.

As school is closed at the moment you may be missing gardening club, there are many ideas to help you keep busy at home on the Royal Horticultural Society website. It would be lovely to see some of the things you've been up to in your gardens so please feel free to take pictures and email them to Mrs Wylie and Mrs Lawton.

A huge well done to our fantastic Gardening Club for achieving Level One in the Royal Horticultural Society School Gardening Awards!!!

Mrs Lawton and Mrs Wylie run a gardening club for children from Y1 - Y6.

At the beginning of the school year a letter will be sent home with a reply slip for you to complete if your child is interested in joining our Gardening Club.

We meet every Monday after school 3:20 - 4:20.

We intend to be outside whatever the weather so please bring suitable clothing.

If we have to cancel we will notify parents as soon as possible.

There will be no Gardening Club between January and March due to the possibility of adverse weather conditions. We wish to make sure that all our group members and staff are safe during this time. Thank you for your understanding in this matter. We look forward to seeing you in April.
