  • PRIMARY SCHOOL OF THE YEAR AWARD

    Thu 11 Jul 2019 HB

On Wednesday 10th July, Mrs Bell, Mr Nielson and Mrs Cave attended the Sheffield Schools Get Active Awards at the English Institute of Sport.

We were nominated for the 'Primary School of the Year Award'. Of the nominations, two schools were selected and the winners were...NORTON FREE and Dore!

This is all down to the wonderfully talented children we have at Norton Free, the supportive community of parents, the staff at Norton and the Schools Sports Partnership that we are part of, POINTS.

    Well done Team Norton!

  • Sports Day

    Thu 04 Jul 2019 HB

Many thanks to all the parents and carers who came along to support Sports Day. We had an amazing day and the weather was perfect! The family picnic was a great success again and everyone looked to be having fun.

Special thanks to the team of helpers supporting Mrs Bell throughout the day - the Y12 students from Meadowhead (including 2 former pupils), 2 students from Sheffield Hallam University, 1 apprentice from Points Partnership, Mr Bell from Sheffield College  PE department and our fabulous Teaching Assistants - Mrs Cave, Mrs Hall, Mrs Bolland, Mrs Rasdale and Mrs Waite. Thank you Mr Neilson (Y5) and the parents who helped to put up the gazebos!

Thank you Mrs Rose for taking photographs (we will put some on the website) and special thanks to Mr Barron for attending Sports Day as our special guest. Mr Barron was headteacher here from 1992- 2009. See you next year!
